Job Summary
Kiwa UK is looking for a HR Adviser to join our team on a 9 month fixed term contract. Bring your HR expertise to Kiwa and make a real impact! Working closely with our HR Operations Manager and HR Business Partners, you’ll take a people-focused approach, providing commercial advice and coaching to managers at all levels. You’ll also play a key role in supporting all areas of HR operations within the business clusters you advise, ensuring smooth and effective HR processes. This is a fully remote, home based role, with occasional travel as required.
About the role
- Support with day-to-day queries, providing excellent HR advice and guidance
- Manage broad and varied ER cases, working closely with the HR Business Partners and HR Operations Manager
- Be the first point of contact for all employee relations for your designated cluster
- Working closely with the other HR Adviser to offer peer-to-peer support, and manage appeal processes for each other clusters
- Act proactively as a source of expertise and support for the business in area of Employee Relations and Culture
- Coach and influence managers
- Role model supportive ER processes aligned to a Kiwa culture and values, always demonstrating the use of appropriate language and behaviours, verbal, non-verbal and written
- Ensure accurate records of ER cases are updated and managed
- Act as liaison for all global mobility cases in your cluster
- Support the HR Operations Manager with handbook and policy review
- Provide professional advice and guidance on equality issues to ensure compliance with equality legislation and best practice, a natural focus on EDI to ensure it develops naturally
- Active participation in HR projects; lead projects on occasion
- Assist the HR Coordinator/Assistant with ad hoc administration, letter preparation, data processing or system updating, as required
- Maintain an accurate and detailed ER tracker, in order to provide HR states and data as required, and to monitor progress.
- Continue to drive Kiwa culture efforts within the cluster and Business Unit/s
- Contribute to the HR Communications calendar
- Understand how a proactive Employee Relations approach contributes to the HR strategy and the Kiwa UK strategy, and drive this through all interactions with stakeholders
- Dealing with disputes appropriately (such as ACAS, mediation, tribunal cases)
Do you have what it takes?
- HR experience with a strong Employee Relations (ER) focus (essential)
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (desirable but not essential)
- In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- Experience working in a multi-site, multi-discipline environment
- Ability to balance the needs of employees, stakeholders, and the business
- Proven track record of building strong partnerships with key stakeholders
- Global mobility/foreign local hire experience (highly desirable)
- Experience in policy writing (highly desirable)
- Excellent communication, engagement, and influencing skills
- Future-focused mindset, with the ability to anticipate business needs
- Willingness to travel if and when required

- 9 month fixed term contract
- £35,000 - £38,000 per annum
