Trending Lifestyle Editor – 12-Month FTC

We’re hiring a Trending Lifestyle Editor to join a leading London-based digital media company on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role offers hybrid working (1 day per week in the London office) with remote flexibility.

The Role:

As a Trending Lifestyle Editor, you’ll be at the heart of celebrity culture and lifestyle trends, covering everything from red carpet moments to viral fashion moments and pop culture discourse. You’ll work closely with entertainment and commerce teams, shaping high-impact, engaging content that stands out.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Stay on top of showbiz lifestyle trends, covering everything from BAFTAs & Met Gala to celebrity social media moments.
2. Provide insight and context to trends, featuring expert commentary where relevant.
3. Write original, compelling content that enhances the publication’s voice and audience reach.
4. Work across multiple formats, including social video and affiliate content where relevant.
5. Collaborate with editors, entertainment, and commerce teams to drive engagement and innovation.
6. Use SEO and audience insights to shape content strategies.

About You:

1. 3+ years’ experience in digital journalism, with strong CMS skills.
2. A deep passion for celebrity culture, fashion, and entertainment trends.
3. Strong story-sourcing & interviewing skills, with media law awareness.
4. Experience working with data, video, and affiliate content.
5. A track record of innovation in digital media, willing to challenge convention.
6. NCTJ qualification (or equivalent) is a plus.
7. A flexible, collaborative mindset with a keen eye for emerging trends.
