As a Field Service Engineer – Fire at Honeywell, in South Yorkshire, you will be responsible for performing and providing counsel on expert emergency, maintenance, and testing of fire and life safety systems. You will perform pre-planned maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to equipment and systems, along with commissioning of small works. This is a field-based role with the requirement of an on-call rota of one in eight.

Key requirements

  • Day to day servicing, calibrations, and maintenance; including diagnosis and repairs of faults on a variety of Honeywell and 3rd party equipment
  • Identify opportunities for system improvements and provide prices for Small Works Quotes
  • Prepare the drawings and application projects specifically for Small Works Quotes
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through direct liaison with client representatives, customers, and service recipients whilst delivering a valuable and professional service
  • Report possible future failures, disturbances, and other opportunities for improvement

Key skills and qualifications

  • Previous work experience servicing Fire, Security or access entry and alarm systems
  • Fault finding and troubleshooting skills along with programming skills
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to build relationships with customers through the use of good communication skills.
  • Previous Honeywell product knowledge such as GENT would be advantageous
  • Valid full driving licence
