Senior Planner, Food Manufacturing

Hands-on Senior Planner needed to plan, schedule and develop a small team for a busy food manufacturing site.

As Senior Planner you’ll report into the Supply Chain Manager for a busy food manufacturing business.

This role will suit a hands-on Planner that enjoys planning, scheduling, strategic project work, and has experience of managing a small team for a busy FMCG or manufacturing business.

My client has an established history of producing food that is eaten in most of the UK homes every year. Their varied food range spans across a range of categories which are available in the UK supermarkets. This is a great opportunity to work with a great team, great product range, and in a fast-moving environment.

You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of the planning team and will support the Planning Manager in the delivery of the Business Plan and Supply Chain Strategy. This will include demand management, finite scheduling and capacity management, labour and materials forecasting, and maintenance of planning systems.

To qualify for consideration the ideal professional will need:

• Two years planning experience within FMCG or manufacturing
• Good analytical and numerical capabilities
• Be able to drive change and work under your own initiative – managing workload and deadlines
• Goal oriented – the ability to deliver results against set departmental and business KPI’s
• Good level of computer literacy, including Excel
• People management experience
• Forecasting experience would be advantageous
