Job description

Crieff Hydro Hotel

Crieff Hydro welcomes up to 1,200 guests daily – some seeking a leisurely coffee or family meal, others celebrating special occasions or entertaining clients. From cosy cafés and bustling bars to elegant restaurants and banqueting, we deliver fantastic food and outstanding service every time.

About the role

We’re looking for two Assistant Restaurant Managers to join our Food and Beverage team at Crieff Hydro. One position is available in our new restaurant opening in April 2025 - this multi-million-pound project will bring a day-to-night dining concept to life, with stylish refurbished spaces, a speakeasy bar, and menus celebrating Scotland’s finest produce.

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Venue Manager to deliver exceptional guest experiences, supporting everything from breakfast through to dinner service. You'll play a vital role in the smooth running of daily operations, ensuring our team delivers the highest standards of service with a welcoming, guest-focused approach.

We're also looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to support our Brasserie and Piccolo team which offers a family-friendly lunch and dinner concept with a range of Italian, French, and British cuisines.

You’ll also help to coach and develop a team of bartenders, hosts, and servers, assisting with recruitment, training, and team engagement. With creativity, passion, and an eye for detail, you’ll help us set the stage for a restaurant that’s as exciting for our team as it is for our guests.

What we need from you
  • Hospitality Experience: Previous supervisory or management experience in food and beverage.
  • Leadership: Confident, approachable, and skilled at motivating a team.
  • Organisation: Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage busy service periods.
  • Team Player: A collaborative approach to supporting team success.
  • Passion for Food & Drink: Enthusiasm for creating memorable dining experiences.
What you'll get from us
  • A Friendly & Supportive Team – Work in a fun, welcoming environment where team spirit and well-being are a priority.
  • Grow with Us – We invest in our people. Whether you’re looking to develop new skills or take the next step in your career, we’ll support you every step of the way.

  • Leadership Development – Get access to our Be A Leader programme and develop the skills to take your career further.
  • Exclusive Discounts – Enjoy free leisure membership for you and a partner, 30% off retail, 50% of food and drinks, plus great savings on hotel activities.
  • Team Rate Hotel Stays – Take time to recharge with discounted stays at all of our hotels from just £30 per night - where will you explore next?
  • Refer a friend initiative – earn a bonus up to £250-£500 for each successful team member or manager which you recommend to us.
  • Guest mention incentive – earn an extra £5 for each guest review which positively mentions you.
  • Live-in Accommodation – On-site housing is available, with bills included, making your move stress-free.
  • Free Meals on Shift – Stay fuelled and focused with delicious staff meals while you work.
  • Wellbeing Support – Access 24/7 confidential support via the Penninsula Employee Assistance Programme, covering mental health, financial advice, and more.
