Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking.
Package: £47,860 – £72,910 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience)

AWE is currently recruiting a Team Leader for the Actinide Analysis Team in the Metal & Tritium Group, which is part of Materials and Analytical Science.
The team provides analytical services, research, and expertise to deliver materials assessments that underpin the UK’s nuclear deterrent and support national security. The successful candidate will lead and manage a team of scientists and technicians responsible for developing and delivering specialist analytical capabilities.
You will be accountable for delivering the functional capability and demand to the future programme requirements, applying the sub-function’s strategy, and providing effective guidance as the main contact point for team members. You will be responsible for line and task managing the Actinide Analysis team, and maintaining a technical capability that delivers critical skills and resources aligned to business requirements to deliver the integrated technical programme.
A degree in a scientific, STEM discipline or equivalent experience is essential. Knowledge of the technical area or a strong scientific background is desirable. Experience of successfully managing a high performing and motivated team would be beneficial.
