Salary: £36,556 (£19.00 per hour)

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Overview:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced NDT Technician to join a specialist provider within the rail rolling stock industry, based in Derby. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) on welds, structures, and materials using a range of techniques. This is a hands-on role that requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to travel as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform NDT on various components and materials in compliance with industry standards.
2. Set up and calibrate NDT equipment for different testing applications.
3. Interpret and evaluate test results, and prepare accurate reports.
4. Maintain equipment and assist with administrative duties when required.
5. Travel to various locations and work away from home when necessary.
6. Uphold a high level of professionalism and integrity at all times.

Skills & Qualifications:

1. Minimum 3 years of NDT experience.
2. PCN Level II qualifications in MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspection) and DPI (Dye Penetrant Inspection).
3. PCN Level II in VT (Visual Testing) desirable (training can be provided).
4. Full UK driving license.
5. Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
6. Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
7. Willingness to travel and work away from home.

Additional Information:

All candidates asked to interview will undergo a drugs and alcohol test and will be subject to random testing throughout employment. Shift patterns include: 8-hour, 10-hour, and 12-hour shifts.
