Our client, a leading housing association in Wigan, is currently recruiting for a Wet Fitter (Gas Qualified) on a temporary to permanent contract. You will be working on a full-time basis, 40 hours per week, and in turn, you will receive a competitive salary of £35,000 to £40,000 and excellent benefits.

As a successful candidate, you will have experience working as a Wet Fitter, preferably in social housing.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake the servicing, repairing, and maintenance of domestic heating systems.
• Complete works in accordance with specifications and gas safe regulations.
• Some Wet Fitting responsibilities which may include installations and repairs of domestic heating systems, including replacements of radiators and valves.
• Completion of all relevant paperwork.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and safety.
• Participate in out-of-hours works, including overtime and call-out.
• Work to operational procedures, safe working practices, and H&S procedures.
• Report all accidents, near-miss events, or potential hazards.
• Undertake all other maintenance works within remit.
• Work flexibly with a diverse range of customers.

Requirements:

• An NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent/City and Guilds.
• ACS Qualifications CCN1, HTR1, CKR1, CENWAT.
• Understanding of gas legislation.
• A full UK driving license.
