Base pay range

Remote – Birmingham/Reading

£28,000 - £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Training and Career Development Opportunities

Due to continued growth, our client is searching for a Sales Development Representative who will be responsible for identifying, engaging and qualifying prospective customers to ensure a strong and consistent sales pipeline is maintained for the sales team. This role is crucial to the ongoing success of our client’s growth and will have a significant impact on increasing revenue for the business.

Due to the nature of our roles, candidates must have a permanent and unrestricted Right to Work in the UK. Please note that our client cannot offer visa sponsorship.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct research into key industries to identify prospective customers and generate leads.
  • Engage with leads via telephone, email and LinkedIn outreach to understand needs and qualify, with a view to scheduling meetings for the sales team.
  • Collaborate with marketing to optimise lead-generation campaigns.
  • Update the CRM system to keep detailed records of interactions and pipeline lead progress.
  • Provide feedback on market trends and lead quality to the sales team.
  • Work towards monthly and quarterly lead conversion targets.

Skills & Experience:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a sales or business development related role.
  • Experience within a SaaS/B2B environment would be preferable.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong research skills to identify new leads and industry trends.
  • Commercially minded, with an ability to qualify leads by using open questions to identify and uncover opportunities.
  • Ability to handle objections and build rapport with key decision makers.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven, with a strong work ethic.
  • Experience using CRM tools is desirable (preferably HubSpot).
