Job description

Learning Support Assistant for Adults and Apprentices

Strode College is seeking a dedicated and compassionate colleague to support our adult students and apprentices in achieving their full potential.

In this role, you will provide in-class, online and phone support to students with learning difficulties and disabilities, from Entry Level to Level 3. Your focus will be on facilitating learning for individuals and small groups, as well as offering support out in the community at events and courses being delivered outside the college.

Experience of working with individuals with sensory impairments, physical disabilities, mental health conditions, challenging behaviour, ASD, or SpLD is desirable.

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of learning difficulties and disabilities, alongside excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Contractual Details
Rate of Pay or Salary: £23,086 per annum
Working Time: 37 hours per week, all year round
Contract Type: Permanent
Pension: Local Government Pension Scheme
Leave entitlement: 29 days per year plus bank holidays including discretionary leave at Christmas.
