Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to start a career with St Giles International, one of the market leaders in the English as a Foreign Language (EFL) training field - a vibrant industry contributing £1.2 billion to the UK economy alone.

As Sales Representative Europe, you will be responsible for the regional account management for our student recruitment partners or Overseas Partners ('agents’) based in Europe. This involves responding to enquiries, providing customer service assistance and relationship building. There will be a mix of development work with current partners for the company and nurturing of new partner relationships.

Our Team

The St Giles Sales Team forms a small, tightly knit but high-powered team. It currently consists of three sales representatives and a Sales & Marketing Manager. The successful applicant will be joining the Sales team as its fifth member and will report directly to the Sales & Marketing Manager. They will be based either in London or remotely in Europe. Sales Representatives deal directly with Overseas Partners, but also liaise with other departments within the organisation including senior management, the CEO and his Deputy. The team travels occasionally with some members living abroad at different times of the year to better serve their markets. They work closely with our Marketing Team to ensure our marketing collateral matches their market’s needs and also with our Group Admissions Team, who process our bookings and liaise with direct students and our partners. Our ethos is to have a sociable, vibrant and multicultural working environment where there are regular opportunities to consult, report and partner with senior colleagues, including the founding family. We are a hardworking team who are happy to pitch in and help each other when needed.

Your responsibilities:

As Sales Representative Europe, you will be expected to work independently with the ability to take initiative and ownership of your market.

Key tasks include:

  2. Frequently partners in this region will want to communicate in their mother tongue; as two of our biggest markets in the region are Italy and France, we prefer a candidate with fluency in either/both of these languages.
  3. Assisting in the recruitment of new partners and contracts for the company.
  4. Creation of an annual regional sales plan including carefully considered sales targets per market.
  5. Regular monitoring of partnerships to ensure that our partners are given the customer service required to meet targets.

  12. Producing statistical data on students and partners of the company.
  13. Organising and attending promotional trips overseas (within budget) on behalf of the company. Trips usually involve attending trade fairs for either partners or students, visiting partners at their offices, and/or recruiting and training new partners. These meetings and events could take place either virtually or online and may involve evening and weekend work. The role will consist of some business trips.
  14. Confidently offering sales presentations to current and potential partners.
