Senior Planning Lawyer

Service Care Legal are recruiting on behalf of a London Borough Council who are seeking a Planning Lawyer to join their team on a contract basis. Please find below further details regarding this.

Senior Planning Lawyer / Planning Lawyer

LOCATION:

London

RATE:

£45.00 to £60.00 per hour

CONTRACT:

6 months with possibility of extension / going permanent

Please note that this position will require office attendance once per month (for Planning Committee meetings).

The Role of the Planning Lawyer

1. To manage a varied caseload of Planning Law matters in relation to planning, highways and regulatory clients and elected members.
2. Matters will be predominantly in relation to complex section 106 agreements.
3. Provide strategic planning enforcement advice.

The Person

1. A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with experience of Planning Law matters.
2. PQE is flexible (NQ and above) and the rate of pay will be reflective of this.
3. Ability to attend planning committee meetings once per month would be essential.
