Risk Consulting Graduate Programme

Programme overview

We work with our clients to help them solve their most complex and pressing problems. We provide businesses with confidence by helping them to optimise how they manage risk, automate controls, or operate their Risk and Compliance functions.

Risk Consulting develops and utilises the latest technologies that enable delivery of our services to clients. In addition to having an Internal Innovation Hub that helps develop bespoke solutions for our clients, we also collaborate with Global teams to develop and rollout proprietary tools that help drive automation and efficiency for our clients.

What you will be doing

  • Getting to know our client’s businesses, their strengths and opportunities for improvements.
  • Taking ownership of testing and reviewing the effectiveness of key financial and operational controls and reviewing business processes.
  • Helping to communicate the impact of your results and recommendations for improvement directly with clients.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of quality deliverables, maintain regular contact with seniors, managers and team members.
  • Stay informed of general business and economic developments and understand the impact to the client.

Eligibility for applying

We operate an open access policy, meaning we don’t screen out applications on your academic performance alone. You will, however, need to be working towards an honours degree in any subject, have a minimum of grade 4/C GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths, or in your home language if you do not hold English Language GCSE, and three A-levels/Five Highers (or equivalent) to be eligible to apply.

Successful candidates may have the opportunity to work on roles within the Innovation Hub. If this is an area of interest to you, please express this on your application form.

Eligibility for visa sponsorship

Please see visa sponsorship details below for this programme, for locations: Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London, and Manchester.

Visa sponsorship is available for this position on a limited basis. EY’s ability to make an offer of employment is subject to the UK immigration rules in force at the relevant time. This position is one that meets the current thresholds required for sponsorship by EY. Please note, however, that EY has a set number of Certificate of Sponsorship applications that can be made each year. If you require sponsorship and this limit is reached and/or UK immigration rules are not capable of being met, this will prevent EY from being able to sponsor you and we will not be able to progress your application.

We can sponsor using the Skilled Worker visa New Entrant salary threshold for this particular vacancy. Your eligibility for the New Entrant rate must subsist for the entire duration of the Graduate programme (please refer to the section ‘Programme length’).

The criteria to be eligible for the New Entrant rate are (subject to change by the UK Government): you’re under 26 on the date you apply; you’re currently in the UK on a student visa studying at bachelor’s degree level or above; you’re currently in the UK on a Graduate visa and your total stay in the UK by the end of your EY Graduate programme plus the date you applied for your Graduate visa will be less than 4 years. Each visa application is unique to the individual and there may be other criteria which mean you are not eligible for visa sponsorship. EY will assess your individual circumstances and we may be required to withdraw your application or offer of employment if EY cannot sponsor your visa.
