ROLE – Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

SALARY - £40,000- £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

TYPE – Permanent

LOCATION – Warrington

My client is a specialist manufacturer of products and Engineering solutions. They are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in the Warrington area on a permanent basis.

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Design / Engineering Design or similar
• 5 or more years’ industry experience ideally working in a similar industrial design / development role within a manufacturing environment
• Proficient with using SolidWorks or similar CAD software for design
• Confident knowledge of a variety of mechanical processes
• Experience working with rubber, polymer, hydraulics, and machinery
• Experienced designing products from concept to production
• Innovative and passionate about design
• Be technically minded with a head for problem solving
• Able to work well individually as well as part of a team

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:

• Design and development of various custom products
• Ensuring 3D design solutions and engineering drawings are completed for all New Product Development projects
• Getting hands on with machinery and other areas of the business
• Using CAD for design on a day-to-day basis
• Developing ideas from concept to production
• Collaborating with different departments to ensure the smooth delivery of projects
• Maintaining technical drawings and documentation
• Providing technical guidance and support
• Supporting Junior team members and providing guidance
