Gardener part time

Job Overview:

We are a high-end garden maintenance company in and around Tunbridge Wells and have been established for over 20 years weeding, pruning, hedge trimming, lawn mowing, and planting.

I need an experienced, knowledgeable gardener to support the growing business.

If you have any horticultural qualifications, it would be a great help! But knowing weeds from flowers is essential.

Most of the work is in Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding area, so ideally, you have your own transport to travel to the customers.

I’m offering a flexible work schedule and looking for someone for 1 to 3 days a week initially, but as I grow, I will offer more work.

If you’re already a gardener, that’s fine. You would just take care of the gardening on a regular basis, and I will do the admin. Sometimes we will work together, and sometimes you will be by yourself looking after the customer's garden.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform garden maintenance duties to ensure the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of the garden area.
2. Use hand tools and power tools to trim, prune, and shape trees, shrubs, and plants.
3. Plant flowers, trees, and shrubs according to the garden design plan.
4. Remove weeds, dead leaves, and debris from the garden area.
5. Maintain garden equipment and report any issues or repairs needed.

Qualifications:

1. You must have your own transport and preferably tools, but some jobs you may only need hand tools for.
2. Knowledge of different plant species and their care requirements would be great.
3. Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and work fast and to a standard.

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance

Pay: £120.00-£160.00 per day

Expected hours: 4 – 32 per week

Schedule:

• Flexitime
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends

• Power tools: 1 year (required)
• Gardening: 1 year (required)
