The candidate will have a background in Aerospace and Defence, having successfully built and developed this market. The global defence spending is projected to reach the record $ trillion level by following a virtual defence renaissance globally with the industry gearing up to ramp up production rates to unprecedented levels over the near to medium term. The use of advanced technologies, such as the KX real-time AI engine, processing fast big machine data, can provide a competitive edge to our clients in this rapidly growing market.

This is a new business role where experience and results matter and will be well rewarded. The role will work cross-functionally with technical sales, solution teams, consulting, professional services, project management, delivery, support, and corporate marketing to build and deliver revenue growth.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Target Achievement: Achieve and consistently surpass stated revenue goals.
  2. Pipeline Management: Maintain an accurate forecast at all times and build and grow a strong set of opportunities to ensure there is sufficient pipeline to meet sales targets.
  3. Use Value Based selling to effectively manage all aspects of a complex sales cycle.
  4. ‘C Suite’ Access: Have access to an extensive rolodex to extend the KX footprint through thought leadership and a proven track record working at the C suite level.
  5. Closing new business opportunities presented via the lead generation team.
  6. Mining existing accounts for up-selling and cross selling of new opportunities.
  7. Take ownership of the bid process in responding to client RFI/RFPs to a high-quality optimizing sale value and chances of client acceptance whilst ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
  8. Report detailed activities to senior level management within the company. Engage in project deliveries (including support) to achieve high customer satisfaction, and resolve customer issues in a timely, efficient and profitable manner.
  9. Where appropriate facilitate the timely renewal of existing customer contracts for optimal value.
  10. Contribute to the software product strategies to enhance the product opportunity and marketability.
  11. Feedback on competitive intel and how changing market landscapes affect KX’s value proposition and how to leverage this evolution to KX’s advantage.
Skills Required:
  1. Proven sales track record over the last years of consistently overachieving multi-million sales targets in the Aerospace and Defence sector.
  2. Self-starter, passionate, articulate professional.
  3. Ability to build relationships with prospects ensuring leads/meetings develop to next steps by sending collateral, supporting proposals and organising follow up meetings.
  4. Presentation Skills: Proven ability to succinctly articulate the value proposition and differentiators to set KX solutions and products apart from the competition.
  5. Experience in presenting and gathering requirements at all levels across an organization with the ability to engage, persuade and influence VP and C suite levels.
  6. An appreciation of working across multiple cultural divides and proven track record of working in a collaborative and respectful manner.
  7. Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
