Summary: To support families and assist clients in their own homes by helping with activities of daily living, end of life care, boosting spirits and sustaining quality of life by delivering exceptional home care services. The committed caregiver must be available 40 hours per week to see most all clients assigned in office service area. If the office is unable to provide 40 hours of in-home work in any week, the committed caregiver will work the remainder of their 40 hours in their home office, supporting administrative tasks. Travel time between clients and overtime will be reimbursed according to standard guidelines. This position is not eligible to participate in the Merit program. There is a reasonable expectation between management and the committed caregiver that client needs will be priority as it pertains to skill level, preferences, and location.
Responsibilities: The Committed Caregiver accepts responsibility for his/her own actions and:
- Agrees to accept shifts assigned or offered during agreed upon availability times within reasonable expectation.
- Will return all phone calls ASAP and no later than 4 hours.
- Will give ample notice of any unavailability or requests for time off.
- Provides required employment paperwork.
- Reviews client care plans prior to providing care.
- Has reliable transportation to see any clients needing service.
- Communicates with the agency about problems and concerns.
- Completes required in-service trainings offered by agency.
- Completes required documentation accurately and on a timely basis.
- Respects and maintains client confidentiality at all times.
- Reports concerns of client abuse or neglect.
- Refrains from discussing personal problems, concerns, or opinions with client, or client representatives.
- Maintains access to an email account and has a reliable cell phone in order to receive client updates, schedule changes, company updates and highlights.
- Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with training procedures.
- Maintains a clean, insured vehicle that has had manufacturer’s recommended scheduled services.
- Performs all tasks as noted in job description and observes all restrictions.
- Has all qualifications and skills noted in job description.
- Forfeits participation if refuses to comply with any of the above responsibilities.
*Reasonable Expectation as defined by this agreement is the commitment to working 40 hours a week and not declining shifts without good cause.

- Assist client with ambulation and mobility around the house
- Assist client with personal care and hygiene

- Be a pleasant and supportive companion
- Report any unusual incidents
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergencies
