Graduate Role - Aspiring Probation Officer - Reigate - Education and Training

This Graduate Role - Aspiring Probation Officer in Reigate will provide essential restorative experience within anti-social and challenging settings – the perfect opportunity for those with aspirations in probation, rehabilitation, prison, youth, and social justice. Based on holistic and therapeutic practice, with a focus on restorative practice, this role is ideal for Criminology and Psychology Graduates looking to expand their education and training.

The role involves working with vulnerable students to increase their engagement, attainment, and life chances, aiming to prevent their entry into the criminal justice system. You will collaborate with teachers and specialist staff to support students with special educational needs (SEN) and address social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Some children may have suffered adverse childhood experiences, and you will identify their risks and needs, escalating where necessary. You will provide consistency and equip children and young people with tools to feel safe, secure, empowered, and capable of succeeding in life.

Details:

  • Start date: ASAP / January 2025, trial days are available to ensure the role and school are right for you
  • Excellent on-site training, support, and CPD provided to ensure safeguarding of all students
  • Salary: £85-£100 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 16:30, PAYE, term time only
  • No previous experience is required
  • Ideal for graduates with a Psychology / Criminology / Social Science degree
  • Right to work in the UK is required - no Visa sponsorship available
