Project Engineer x4 (Cement / Biogas / Biomass / Tunnelling / Agriculture / Chemical Manufacture)

This is a great opportunity to work for a major company that has been awarded 4 projects worth 200 million.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering projects from start to finish
  • Cost control and management of contracts
  • Develop Project Execution Plan in line with company procedures and client needs
  • Define contract completion criteria and create closure plan
  • Review all project and contractual documents post contract assignment
  • Manage project costs, budget allocation, and spending approval
  • Develop and oversee project schedule, monitoring progress and identifying impacts
  • Maintain project cash flow projection, flagging any risks or negative cash flows
  • Lead internal and external project meetings, ensuring progress alignment
  • Coordinate project activities across various stages for schedule adherence
  • Generate internal project summary reports and communicate progress regularly
  • Produce external project progress reports as per contract requirements
  • Attend client meetings to provide project updates and status
  • Review and approve invoices before payment
  • Identify, log, and manage project risks and opportunities
  • Manage changes to contract scope and develop variations or compensation events
  • Oversee quality management, addressing non-conformances and issues
  • Conduct formal project closure, including cost assessment and lessons learned documentation
  • PM qualification APM is a must
  • Heavy industry background
  • Confident and experienced with the commercial side of project management as well as the engineering
