Reports to: Head of Department

Purpose: We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced coach to deliver on the International soccer schools.

Job Description

  • Provide high quality coaching and support.
  • Manage a team of coaches when you are leading the course from that nationality.
  • Complete and support administrative duties such as Risk Assessment and Registers every session in-line with programme requirements / Health and Safety / Child Protection.
  • Provide verbal/written reports when requested by head of department.
  • Attend meetings and CPD with Line Manager and Italian Coaches.
  • Adopt principles of continuous personal and professional development with regard to the role.
  • Support Leeds United Foundation with their vision & mission values at all times.
  • Build and maintain good working relationships both internally and externally, maintaining a professional image at all times when representing The Leeds United Foundation.
  • Keep confidential any information gained regarding the Charity, Club and its personnel.
  • Maintain a flexible approach to work at all times.
  • Maintain the upkeep of all relevant equipment pertaining to the delivery of programmes and to the safety of participants.
  • Undertake all other relevant duties directed by the Senior Management team, which from time to time may be required with respect to the promotion of The Leeds United.
  • Be aware of and abide by all the Leeds United Foundation policies and procedures, in particular Safeguarding and Equality, Diversity & Inclusion.

Essential

  • UEFA B
  • FA Youth Award Module 1 and 2
  • FA Licensed
  • A recognised FA First Aid Qualification
  • Knowledge and understanding of child protection issues including holding a current FA Safeguarding Children Workshop certificate
  • An accepted FA Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Disclosure (previously known as an FA CRB Disclosure)
  • Experience in Elite Coaching
  • Knowledge and understanding of child development and be sensitive to children’s needs
  • Willingness to work weekends and training events when required
  • Own transport essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently, using your own initiative, and as part of a team.

Desirable

  • UEFA A
  • An understanding of Talent Identification
  • An appreciation of Long-Term Player Development
  • Attended the FA Youth Coaches Course
  • Knowledge and understanding of working with young players
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Experience in international coaching

Pay: £15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 40 per week

Experience

  • Sports coaching: 1 year (preferred)
