  • Must have Level 3 Health and Safety and Environmental qualifications.

SHE Advisor (Safety, Health and Environment)

SHE Advisor, Middlesbrough.

Full Time Role, Monday to Friday 40 hours per week (Would consider 4 days per week)

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Safety, Health & Environment Advisor to join our Riverside Park Chilled Food Manufacturing Factory in Middlesbrough.

As the site SHE Advisor you will be responsible for supporting the SHE Manager in implementing the site SHE management system. This is a hands-on role where the main aim is to prevent work-related illnesses and injuries. The ability to engage and influence at all levels of the organisation will be essential. As the site SHE Advisor you will also have responsibility to act as the site competent person in the absence of the SHE manager.

What you will be doing:
  1. Support the reduction of SHE risks and hazards across the site
  2. Support the site in legal compliance
  3. Deliver appropriate Health and Safety training
  4. Undertake workplace inspections and audits
  5. Offer general health and safety advice across the site
  6. Support the implementation of the TCFG SHE management system
  7. Undertake reporting and escalation requirements
  8. Support the management of contractors and visitors on site
  9. Implement group SHE initiatives and campaigns across the site
  10. Support the site SHE Manager in deploying TCFG strategy and systems
  11. Complete risk assessment and risk management
  12. Lead on incident investigation and RCA
  13. Keeping accurate records and document control
  14. Investigate the working environment for unsafe practices and conditions
  15. Update and maintain documents, policies and procedures.

Skills we are looking for:
  1. Level 3 Health and Safety qualification and Environmental qualification
  2. Good knowledge of specific work task (5 Years in similar role)
  3. Environmental experience and BS ISO 45001 (OHSMS)
