Educational Psychologist

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Educational Psychologist to join our team. The role involves assessing and supporting children with special educational needs (SEN), providing high-quality advice to pupils, teachers, and parents, and ensuring compliance with statutory obligations under relevant Education Acts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Timely assessment of SEN and development of transitional plans.
  2. Attend SEN Tribunal hearings and contribute expert advice.
  3. Collaborate with agencies and visit out-of-area placements.
  4. Deliver high-quality support and advice on educational interventions.
  5. Ensure equal opportunities for all children, including Looked After Children and disadvantaged youth.

Qualifications & Skills:

  1. Honours Degree in Psychology and HCPC registration.
  2. Masters/Doctorate in Educational Psychology.
  3. Proven experience in school work, complex cases, and delivering professional development.
  4. Strong knowledge of Education Acts and SEND Code of Practice.

Personal Qualities:

  1. Ability to manage a complex workload under pressure.
  2. Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  3. Commitment to equal opportunities and delivering a non-discriminatory service.

Requirements:

  1. Enhanced DBS check.
  2. Ability to converse confidently in English.
  3. Politically restricted role.
