About you...

You will be forward-thinking and committed to early intervention, inclusion and positive outcomes.

This is your opportunity to:

  • Shape the future of an innovative and accessible support service.
  • Work across traded, commissioned and statutory services, giving you variety and career growth.
  • Bring your forward-thinking approach to early intervention, inclusion and achieving positive outcomes.

We welcome applications from 3rd year Trainee Educational Psychologists.

About the team...

We are a small, friendly and supportive team who are strengths-based and person-centred and committed to the principles of inclusion and early intervention.

We offer a balance of work to all team members (Seniors, Educational Psychologists and Trainees) which includes a core ‘free’ offer to schools alongside traded work, commissions, project and statutory work. In addition, there are opportunities to develop or extend specialisms in relation to our service plan.

We have monthly face-to-face team meetings in our central Bracknell office in addition to peer supervision and continuous professional development. Opportunities for joint working are embedded.

Key responsibilities...
  • Provide a traded service to link schools using a consultation model.
  • Deliver strategic, thematic workshops and consultation support to all schools (EBSA, Scaffolded Learning and Neurodiversity: themes change each year).
  • Support core EPS commissions within the council (Virtual School, Social Care & Early Help) and projects (ELSA, Neurodiversity).
  • Develop the SEND strategy within the council by contributing towards workstreams.
  • Provide high-quality psychological advice as part of statutory EHC needs assessments.
Our benefits...
  • 28 days* increasing to 33 days* after 3 years’ continuous service.
  • The opportunity to buy up to 10 additional days* annual leave per year and sell 5 days.
  • Hybrid working opportunities to support your wellbeing and work-life balance.
  • An inclusive and social working environment with a variety of staff networks.
  • Local government pension scheme.
  • Life insurance cover (linked to the pension scheme)
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity, adoption and fostering leave.
  • Recognition of continuous service attained within the NHS and UKHSA when calculating some benefits such as annual leave entitlements, occupational maternity/paternity leave, and more. (Terms and Conditions apply – please refer to candidate pack for more information.)
  • Career development through internal and external training opportunities.
  • A great office location next to travel links and Bracknell Forest’s thriving town centre.
  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) to support your health and wellbeing.
  • Sports and Social Club.
  • Staff dental and health plans.
  • Discounted leisure centre and gym membership.
  • Supermarket discount.

*(pro rata for part time)
