Experience setting up and operating EDM machines is essential.
Familiarity with quality and manufacturing standards is required.

Control EDM machines and set them up according to procedures.

Our client is well-established within the Manufacturing sector and is looking for a confident and passionate EDM Operator with experience in setting and operating wire-EDM machines.

Job Description

Responsibilities include:

Use and control of EDM machines
Ability to read and understand CNC machine code to the level required for machine set up and operation
Understand all set up parameters and the effect that they have on the process, for example, datum setting and tool length and wear offsets
Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

Candidates should have:

Previous experience setting up and operating EDM machines
Familiarity with quality and manufacturing standards
Experience working within a high-precision industry, on precision components/products (aerospace, automotive, rail, nuclear, etc.)
Ability to read data cards and work instructions
