Experienced Veterinary Surgeon – Independent Practice - Edinburgh - No OOH

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon (3+ years qualified) to join a thriving, independent small animal practice in Edinburgh. With a flexible approach and a supportive team, this is the perfect role for someone passionate about consulting and client care.

About the Practice:

This modern, well-equipped clinic offers a bright and spacious working environment, featuring:

  • Separate cat and dog waiting areas and wards
  • On-site CT, laparoscopy, X-ray, and dental X-ray
  • Extended consult times to allow in-depth case investigations
  • A collaborative, supportive, and fun-loving team culture

Being independent means the team has the freedom to make the best decisions for their patients, clients, and each other.

The Role:

We are looking for a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon who thrives in a consulting role. The position is flexible and tailored to your strengths and interests:

  • Prefer minimal surgery? Focus on diagnostics and imaging!
  • Want to develop a new service or specialism? Let's make it happen!
  • Work-life balance matters—ideally 30-40 hours per week
  • No OOH — opening hours: Mon-Fri 08:30-18:00, Sat 08:30-12:30
  • Ideally, 3-4 days per week plus 1 in 3 Saturday mornings
