Job description

Find Your Perfect Fit as a Small Animal Vet in Lincolnshire!

Are you looking for a role that combines clinical freedom, a supportive team, and a welcoming client base? If so, we’ve got just the opportunity for you! Nestled in the heart of Lincolnshire, our independent practice is a place where challenges are met with collaboration, laughter, and a genuine love for what we do.

The Role:
We’re excited to welcome a new Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to our team. You’ll thrive in our supportive environment, with over 70 years of combined experience in the team to guide and collaborate with you.

Here’s what you can expect:

Full-time hours: 8:15 am–6:00 pm, with a protected, uninterrupted 1-hour lunch break to recharge.

Weekend rota: A balanced schedule with Saturday consults (8:15 am–11:00 am and 2:30 pm–4:00 pm) and occasional inpatient care on Sundays. Tuesdays off follow your weekend shift.

Inpatient care: Out-of-hours emergencies are handled by VetsNow, but you’ll oversee inpatient care with phone support available on weeknights, if needed, for the nurse on duty- this is only required when there are inpatients at the practice.

What Makes Us Special?
We’re more than just a team—we’re a family. From case discussions to sharing a laugh, we pride ourselves on creating a workplace where everyone feels supported and valued. Our team includes 2 vets, an RVN, a student nurse, 4 wonderful receptionists, and a dedicated Practice Manager who keeps everything running smoothly.

Our Practice:
Serving the local community since 1851, our two-site practice combines a legacy of trusted care with a modern approach to veterinary medicine. We treat every pet as if they were our own, delivering gold-standard care with heart.

Situated on the border of Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Rutland, and Northamptonshire, we offer great commuting links, charming market towns, and a slower pace of life when you step out of the practice.

Benefits That Put You First:

  • Competitive salary: £38,000–£65,000+ (based on experience).
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Generous CPD allowance with full support for certificates and additional qualifications.
  • Staff discounts for your own pets.
  • Case discussions with experienced colleagues and visiting specialists.
  • Well-being support and a positive, inclusive environment.
  • Free onsite parking.
  • Located within walking distance of a beautiful market town—perfect for lunch breaks or after-work strolls.

Why You’ll Love Working Here:
At our practice, you’ll find the clinical freedom to make decisions in the best interest of your patients, while being part of a supportive team that works together to achieve the best outcomes. We’re not just here to work—we’re here to enjoy what we do and make a difference, all while having a little fun along the way.
