We’re looking for an experienced and organized Lead Data Engineer to take ownership of data services across a fast-growing B2B marketing agency.

As a key member of the data team, you will play a crucial role in shaping how data is analyzed, reported, and leveraged to drive marketing and sales performance. This is an opportunity for a passionate, outcome-driven data expert to help businesses scale revenue through paid media, data science, and marketing automation.

The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, self-motivated, and analytical, with strong problem-solving skills. You should be able to translate complex data into actionable insights that support business objectives. If you have a strategic mindset, enjoy working with cutting-edge technology, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this role is for you.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Design, build, maintain, and monitor data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools using Looker Studio for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Optimize data workflows and architecture for efficiency and cost savings.
  • Implement dimensional modelling for marketing, sales, and commercial data in BigQuery.
  • Develop DAGs and orchestrate data pipelines using Apache Airflow.
  • Work closely with performance teams, clients, and analysts to enhance reporting and insights.
  • Automate and streamline data processes to improve operational efficiency.
  • Advocate for data as a product, ensuring data is well-documented, accurate, and reliable.
  • Lead AI innovation projects, integrating LLM models into data pipelines to automate insights and improve business operations.
  • Communicate technical solutions effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

Who You Are:

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Skilled in building scalable, well-tested Python data pipelines with best coding practices.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL for data modelling and manipulation.
  • Experience extracting data from REST APIs using tools like Adverity, Fivetran, or Airbyte.
  • Hands-on experience with data orchestration tools such as Dataform and Apache Airflow.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability to educate and collaborate with non-technical stakeholders.
  • A forward-thinking mindset, always seeking new and innovative data solutions.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience in B2B SaaS marketing or related industries.
  • Knowledge of Cloud engineering systems (GCP, AWS, or Azure).

This is a fantastic opportunity to own the data function within a forward-thinking agency, work on exciting AI-driven projects, and make a real impact.
