Salary: Competitive starting salary range from £31,792 up to £35,937 per annum (dependent upon experience) with the potential to progress. A discretionary range for candidates with exceptional experience can be discussed/considered

The Role

As a Front End Web Developer you will support the Senior Front End Web Developer in providing a range of web solutions to meet the Group’s needs. You will be responsible for building responsive web experiences, designing front end feature enhancements on the CMS platform and advising on technical code related issues pertaining to web service provision.

You will deliver a visually appealing but also functional web marketing presence for the Group. You will also provide guidance and support on user experience, accessibility, content design for the web and information architecture.

You will assist the Senior Front End Web Developer in handling development-related projects with the University’s third-party development supplier. The post holder will possess excellent attention to detail, ensuring that quality standards are met in all new coding projects.

Our Successful Candidate:

As a Front-End Web Developer, you will demonstrate:

  • Experience in a web-related and marketing discipline.
  • Experience of working on interactive responsive websites / apps
  • High level of skill in coding including HTML, CSS, SASS, Javascript
  • The ability to come up with innovative solutions to problems and work independently in troubleshooting website issues.
  • Ability to develop successful relationships with colleagues, users, and other stakeholders based upon a commitment to collaborative working facilitating improved performance and results.
