Position: Site Agent - Civil Engineering / Highways

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

Location: Sussex

A regional civil engineering contractor is seeking a driven, determined and ambitious individual to join their team based on a project in East Sussex.

The successful candidate will be working on civil Highways projects across the SE region valued up to £50m.

Candidate Requirements:

1. Degree Qualified in Civil Engineering or similar
2. 5 Years' Experience in Civil Engineering working on highways, structures and infrastructure
3. Experience of working in schemes worth £7M-£10M
4. Advantageous if you possess flood and river protection experience but not necessary

Key Responsibilities:

1. Management of site staff, operatives and sub-contractors
2. Provide method statements, risk assessments and project management plans
3. Understand tender allowances and monitor contract loss against agreed budgets
4. Preparing and monitoring programmes of work
5. Foster good relations and reputation with clients
6. Manage design co-ordination
7. Assessment and engagement of sub-contractors
8. Manage contracts to ensure timely and profitable completion of contracts
9. Supervise, mentor and assist in the career development of junior staff
