Skilled Arable Operators/Sprayer & Combine Operator

Eastern Farms Ltd is a progressive, family run farming business based near Huntingdon, growing 6000 acres of combinable crops in Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire.

We are looking for operators who are enthusiastic and motivated, show attention to detail, a clean, tidy and polite approach and complete respect for our machinery.

Available Positions:

1. Sprayer & Combine Operator: PA1, PA2 and PA4 and knowledge of GPS and variable rate technology are essential. Other general arable duties will be required as necessary. The successful applicant will be a good all-rounder and must be able to work to high standards, without supervision.
2. Skilled Arable Operator: The main arable role is primary and secondary cultivations using one of our John Deere 9RX’s. There will also be fertiliser spreading, drilling and other farm work as required. Workshop and farm machinery maintenance skills would be an advantage. The successful applicant will have an eye for detail and be able to work on their own, to a high standard, taking pride in their work and the machinery.
3. Skilled Arable Operator/Estate Maintenance: Arable operator required for farm maintenance. Jobs to include hedging, flail mowing, ditching, drain jetting, strimming and chainsaw work. There will be other general farm work during our busy season. A 360 digger driver ticket would be an advantage to operate our JCB 140X, used for tree shearing and track maintenance. A telehandler licence would also be an advantage.

All applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and be 21+. We offer comprehensive training and modern farm machinery.
