Job description

Principal Ecologist
Exeter

A thriving consultancy that provides specialist ecological services to developers, landowners, planners, utilities, and local government.

Wish to recruit a Principal Ecologist. The post is based at their office near Exeter in Devon. The successful candidate will help to deliver complex and interesting projects, support a team of dedicated and talented ecologists, and build and develop relationships with clients and project teams across a range of sectors.

What we need from you:
  • A good relevant degree.
  • Previous professional experience, including at the Senior Ecologist level (or equivalent).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, design teams, planners, and regulators.
  • Confidence in the preparation of technical reports, including EcIAs, HRAs, BNG assessments, ES Ecology chapters, and Ecological Management Plans.
  • Commercial awareness and aptitude for business development.
  • Full Membership of CIEEM; Chartered Ecologist/Environmentalist would be an advantage.
  • A Full UK driving licence.
