Job Title: Automation Maintenance Technician
Location: Exeter
Salary: £51,051 Basic + Shift Allowance
Working hours: Rotating shift pattern, with various hours (must be flexible)

We are currently recruiting for an Automation Maintenance Technician for my client in Exeter. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Automation Maintenance Technician to join a well-established and reputable company, becoming part of a high performing team.

Responsibilities:
  1. Perform maintenance tasks, including preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance.
  2. Engage in continuous improvement activities.
  3. Provide effective and efficient support to the Engineering Manager, Maintenance Team Leader, and Engineering Team Coaches; complete end of shift reports, fault logging, and data entry.
  4. Identify the root cause of automation breakdowns and prioritize corrective actions to meet operational processing requirements.
  5. Monitor equipment performance and improve automation outputs in collaboration with operational stakeholders.
  6. Identify and work on Continuous Improvement projects, from conception to implementation ownership, for machinery in the Hub.
  7. Work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals.

Requirements:
  1. The ideal candidate must have first-hand experience of maintaining automation equipment, including but not limited to: Conveyor systems, infrastructure systems, and sorting machines.
  2. Experience with Compact sequence Sorters, Culler facer Canceller, and Letter/parcel sorting machines.
  3. Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
  4. Must be fully qualified in electrical and mechanical engineering (minimum ONC Electrical Engineering - or equivalent).
  5. Full UK Driver's License.
