Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a Residential Children's Home or similar setting.
  • Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People or Health and Social Care.

Job Summary: Deputy Home Manager - Children and Young People

Location: Southampton

Requirements: Full UK driving license, own vehicle, Level 3 qualification, and experience in learning disabilities.

About the Role:

The role is to provide therapeutic care and a nurturing environment for children and young people. You'll:

  • Support the Registered Manager in managing day-to-day operations.
  • Lead a caring team to deliver high-quality services and therapeutic care.
  • Be responsible for supervision, mentoring, and staff management, including work patterns and training.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures.
  • Create a safe, engaging, and fun environment focused on recovery, growth, and positive outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a Residential Children's Home or similar setting.
  • NVQ Level 3 (or above) in Children and Young People or Health and Social Care.
  • Knowledge of Ofsted legislation and safeguarding procedures.
  • Strong leadership, proactive attitude, and ability to manage budgets and rotas.
  • Flexible approach to shifts and sleep-ins.
