The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity within our Corporate Finance team as Corporate Finance Director, based in our Head Office in Harrow, London.

This is a key hire for the business and the individual will be integral to several high-profile projects as JMK Group continues to grow.

Reporting directly to the JMK Group Directors, the Corporate Finance Director will be responsible for:

Capex Reporting:

Monitoring capital spends against approved project budgets and preparing monthly capex reports for key stakeholders.

Cash Flow Forecasting:

Prepare monthly cash-flow forecasts to support efficient liquidity management, including recommendations for required funding actions.

Bank Relations & Funding Proposals:

Develop and present comprehensive funding proposals, including financial models and investor presentations, for lender consideration. Engage in negotiations to secure favourable financing terms and provide strategic recommendations to the directors on the most viable options. Foster relationships with existing and potential lenders to explore additional funding opportunities aligned with the group’s growth strategy. Engage with lawyers throughout the financing process to ensure that all legal aspects are carefully addressed.

Sourcing and Structuring Financing:

Identify and establish relationships with new lenders and financial institutions to support acquisition, development, and refinancing initiatives. Assess market conditions to secure the best financing solutions in line with the group’s business objectives.

End-to-End Financing Management:

Oversee the entire financing process, from initial discussions and term sheet negotiations to reviewing facility agreements and managing legal due diligence. Act as the primary liaison with legal advisors, ensuring all documentation aligns with commercial objectives and regulatory requirements.

Bank Reporting:

Preparation of quarterly bank reporting, including covenant testing and any other required disclosures. Oversee the ongoing management and refinement of JMK Group’s financial projection model, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives. Provide key insights and input into investment models to support strategic decision-making and growth initiatives.

Insurance Management:

Build relationships with third-party insurance brokers and lead annual insurance renewal cycle, including provision of all required information on a timely basis.

Acquisition & Investment Analysis:

Lead financial due diligence and analysis for potential acquisitions. Provide financial modelling, forecasting, and strategic input to assess new investment opportunities and growth initiatives.

Construction & Project Finance:

Manage the financial aspects of hotel construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financing. Work with stakeholders to secure the necessary funds for new developments and major refurbishments. Oversee and manage the drawdown process for construction financing, ensuring timely access to funds as projects progress.

Asset Management:

Oversee the financial and operational performance of the group's hotel assets, identifying opportunities to enhance value, maximise returns, and improve efficiency.

Other Projects:

Support with any other corporate finance activity, including ad-hoc financial analysis, as and when required.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant ("CA") or Chartered Financial Analyst ("CFA") (ACCA, ACA)
  • Previous experience in any of the following areas - Corporate Finance, Banking, Capital Projects, Real Estate or Infrastructure Investment/Advisory.
  • Cash Flow Forecasting/Liquidity Management/Debt Management experience.
  • Ambitious, seeks new challenges and adopts a growth mindset.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and remains calm under pressure.
