Company Description

We are keen to engage a skilled, cross platform developer with experience in FileMaker Pro and web development who can hit the ground running in an insurance based environment and who is comfortable working with APIs, php, JSON etc.

We provide a SaaS solution to mid sector insurance entities known as MGAs (Managing General Agents) and UGAs (Underwriting General Agents). The solution is dual facing with a web interface pointing to end user brokers while the back office underwriting and accounting suite is built using Filemaker Pro.

We have a number of client instances each running two AWS servers, a medium to large instance for the FM Server and a smaller server for the web interface.

The successful applicant will be comfortable working in both these environments with our team of developers to enhance existing and ongoing development of the ibroker solution, and ideally have some expertise in the optimisation of AWS servers running FileMaker Server.

Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a FileMaker/Web Developer. Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining FileMaker applications. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting and resolving issues, collaborating with team members to understand project requirements, and creating custom scripts and functions. The role also involves optimizing database performance and ensuring the security and integrity of the data.

Qualifications

• Experience in FileMaker development, including designing and maintaining FileMaker applications
• Proficiency in Back-End FileMaker Development
• Experience in Web Application Development
• Strong understanding of Software Development principles
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
• Proficiency in creating custom scripts and functions
• Skills in optimizing database performance
• Understanding of data security and integrity measures
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Ability to work independently and remotely
