Job Details:

JobMatcha is recruiting for a detailed, oriented, and strategic Procurement Buyer to join our team in Watford. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing ICT orders from end to end, ensuring timely and accurate input into the system, and tracking the status of orders to meet delivery deadlines. The ideal candidate will have excellent keyboard skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and a strong focus on compliance with procurement policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Accurate Data Entry: Perform accurate and efficient data entry into procurement and order management systems to track orders, manage purchase requests, and update the status of each order.
  2. Purchase Order Management: Process purchase orders and monitor order status to ensure timely deliveries, working closely with suppliers and internal teams to resolve any issues that arise.
  3. Compliance & Standards: Ensure all procurement activities are in compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards, promoting efficiency and accuracy throughout the ordering process.
  4. Multitasking & Prioritization: Handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and business requirements.
  5. Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with internal teams, including procurement, finance, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of orders.
Requirements for this role:

An experienced procurement professional required to support a busy procurement team in Watford. The successful candidate will ideally have demonstrable experience in procurement in the construction industry. Strong IT and communication skills are a must.

Qualifications Required:
  1. A high school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in procurement or business administration is a plus.
  2. Previous experience as a Procurement Buyer or in a data input role is an advantage but not required.
