Job description

We are seeking a Senior Support Worker to join our Service in Wallasey.

What you’ll be doing:

  • The people we support are adults with learning disabilities, challenging behaviours, Autism, and/or mental health needs.
  • Support 1-1 and continue to promote positive well-being.
  • Participate and be as enthusiastic about their likes and wants as they are.
  • Help maintain and develop their community links and access community and leisure pursuits to support their independent living and life skills.
  • Work closely alongside management and staff members to support when required.
  • Be willing to be flexible as shift rota can include between 08:00 am – 10:00 pm, working a minimum of 2 weekends a month (Times can change to suit service requirements).
  • Be part of the on-call rota, with the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager.
  • Support the management team with changes within the service.

Who you are:

  • Able to work independently, multitask, organise and prioritise work to suit the people we support.
  • Enthusiastic at building relationships and influencing at all levels, internal and external.
  • Ability to execute and deliver, whilst keeping a positive attitude under pressure.
  • Quick learner, hands-on, and willing to be flexible in tasks and activities.
  • Driver is essential due to service requirement.
