ROLE – Graduate Chemical Engineer

SALARY - £25,000- £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

TYPE – Permanent

LOCATION – Greater Manchester

My client designs and manufactures specialist equipment for process industries. They are looking for a Graduate Chemical Engineer to join their team in Greater Manchester on a permanent basis.

Attributes:

1. Ideally be BEng/MEng qualified in a Chemical or related Mechanical discipline
2. 0-2 years’ relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
3. Strong Design skills with the ability to design new processes
4. Strong Project Management skills
5. Understands 2D and 3D CAD
6. Excellent problem-solving skills
7. Proven ability to take a leadership role and motivate others
8. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
9. Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team

Responsibilities include:

1. Solving problems and improving engineering processes
2. Being involved in designing, implementing and overseeing project plans
3. Liaising with other departments to manage such projects
4. Ensuring quality and H&S standards are met
5. Running trials and experiments in an R&D environment
6. Design equipment layouts
7. Maintaining technical documentation as required
8. Keeping up to date with reports and developments in inorganic chemistry
9. Pushing for constant progression for product development and manufacturing techniques
