The Chef Owner of a rural country Inn is seeking a Sous/Head Chef who can ensure that current high standards and reputation of this upmarket gastro pub are retained in his absence. The kitchen of the property has a team of four chefs who you will work with, ensuring a punctual, quality service. As well as the seasonally changing home-cooked pub classics with a modern twist menus, there are also regularly changing upmarket specials, all prepared with fresh ingredients that are locally sourced where possible. There is a 30 to 60 cover lunch and dinner service, bar snacks are available, and small private functions are catered for.
Requirements:
A Sous or Head Chef who can show longevity working in a similar fresh food pub environment where you were cooking all dishes from scratch using high quality, fresh ingredients. The role needs a strong team leader who has a mature approach to training in the kitchen in order to get the best out of your team. All chefs should be fully aware of current hygiene legislation with experience of training others in this area and ensuring it is followed at all times.
