Our client is a global company, serving multiple industries and providing solutions that increase the efficiency and safety of various engineering areas.

For this role, they are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with the ability to manage design projects from initial concept/enquiry through detailed design to manufacturing handover.

You'll need to be skilled in high-level language programming and have a strong understanding of hardware design.

What you'll be tasked with:

Managing design projects from initial concept/enquiry through detailed design to manufacturing handover.
Providing design input on projects, using the technical competencies listed below.
Generating ideas for developments and new products.
Being responsible for small projects or sub-sections of larger products.
Producing engineering designs, specifications, and documentation to ISO 9001.
Assisting in the preparation of operating and maintenance manuals.

Real-Time programming
Micro-controller experience
Comms protocols (RS232, I2C, SPI, UART, etc.)
PCB Design

You'll need to be able to showcase a minimum of 3 years of experience within an engineering design environment.
