Job Purpose
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the accounting department in managing financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting software and financial services, with proficiency in tools such as Excel, Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and Workday.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in managing accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers.
  2. Perform data entry tasks to maintain up-to-date financial records.
  3. Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in financial statements.
  4. Support the preparation of financial reports and assist with audits as required.
  5. Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
  6. Maintain accurate documentation of all financial transactions in compliance with company policies.
  7. Provide support for financial forecasting and budgeting activities.

Requirements for this role:
  1. Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role within the financial services sector.
  2. Proficiency in accounting software such as Excel, Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or Workday is essential.
  3. Experience or background having worked in a Property Company.
  4. Strong data entry skills with a keen eye for detail.
  5. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  6. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
  7. A solid understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
  8. A relevant qualification in finance or accounting is preferred but not mandatory.
