Trainee Pipelines Craftsperson

As a Pipelines Craftsperson, you will understand the importance of corrosion control, condition assessment, and maintenance on our high-pressure steel pipeline networks. Day to day will involve:

• Assessing the pipelines' condition
• Preventing damage by third-party activities
• Keeping the pipeline safe
• Regularly surveying the pipeline network

Trainee Pressure Control Craftsperson

This role is all about the maintenance of the pressure reduction equipment and safety devices at the gas installations across SGN’s depots and sites. Day to day will involve:

• Completing routine maintenance checks
• Responding to faults on the network
• Continued checks on corrosion of pipework and equipment
• Providing reports where necessary

What you’ll need

• High enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
• A logical approach to fault finding and problem solving
• Highly motivated, organised, and able to work well to targets and deadlines
• Able to think on your feet while always being safety aware
• Interested in developing your career within the gas network industry
• A technical, practical aptitude is desirable along with IT literacy, a responsible approach to health & safety, and great communication skills
• A full clean driving license or working towards your license
