Applications Engineer

Up to £36k DOE | Onsite | Fareham

Our client is an innovative supplier of bespoke heat exchangers within the UK market. Renowned for our high-quality products and extensive industry expertise, they serve major names across the cold storage, food processing, and data centre industries. We are seeking a talented Applications Engineer to join their team in Fareham.

The Role
We are looking for a motivated Applications Engineer with a strong sales or engineering background. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with customers to offer the best engineering solutions, design heat exchangers, and support our established sales team in promoting our product range. A training program will be provided to ensure you acquire the necessary knowledge to excel in this role.

Responsibilities of the Applications Engineer: -

• Design and sell bespoke heat exchanger solutions, liaising directly with customers
• Collaborate with the drawing office to hand over technical documentation post-project approval
• Support the sales team to promote products on technical and commercial levels
• Develop relationships with design consultants, contractors, and mechanical engineers to secure business

Requirements of the Applications Engineer: -

• Sales or engineering background with strong communication skills
• Ability to quickly learn and advise customers on the best engineering solutions
• Willingness to collaborate with the sales team and develop new opportunities
• Ability to occasionally attend sites and participate in group sales meetings

Package:

• Up to £36k DOE
• Bonus scheme available after 12 months of service.
• 20 days of paid leave annually (plus public holidays), increasing up to 25 days.
• Pension scheme with up to 4% matching contributions.
• Reimbursement of reasonable business expenses.
