Job Title: Security Guard

Job Location: Windsor, ON

Job Type: Part-Time

Pay Rate: $18.39 per hour

Shifts: Rotational, weekends included (full availability is an asset)

Overview

Allied Universal is seeking experienced Security Guard to oversee security operations at our Canadian site in Windsor.

Minimum Requirements

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• Valid Ontario security guard license.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours per week.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience.

Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions

• Access control for the facility/area.
• Present a polished, professional, customer-friendly image at all times.
• Ensure that the facility's safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site emergencies.
• Undertake site-specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager.
• Demonstrate good judgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.
• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Operate/monitor security room equipment, completion of site-required training.
• Vehicle Gate and Console duties.
• On-the-Job training is required: ERT-Emergency Response Training initial training program.
• This site has implemented a “Clean Shaven” policy for Personal Protective Equipment purposes.
