Boeing Defence UK will soon be installing state of the art training equipment to support the E7 Aircraft at RAF Lossiemouth. We are looking for an experienced Simulation Training Device Lead Technician to lead a team of 4 technicians maintaining the training equipment through life and to also support installation and introduction into service.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in the support of full flight simulators.
Following installation support, the successful candidate will provide routine maintenance, fault finding and repair activities. As a Lead Technician, carrying out maintenance planning and scheduling and liaising with the training schedulers is essential. Coordinating work with other departments such as security, H&S Product Support including the equipment manufacturer, and mentoring and guiding more junior colleagues is expected.
The facility will run a two-shift system from 07:00 till 22:00 Monday to Friday to cover the full training schedule. The Lead will be on a Day shift but may be required to drop into a shift if necessary. Some flexibility is expected.
The role will be based in the new, custom-built facility at RAF Lossiemouth.
Experience working in a military environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
This is a Lead Technician role supporting the E7 On-Site Maintenance Manager.
