HGV technician

This is a full-time workshop-based position for an HGV Technician located in our Milton Keynes based workshop. The HGV Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles to ensure they comply with all DVSA guidance. The day-to-day tasks include performing routine maintenance, diagnosing mechanical issues, and conducting repairs on various systems of the vehicles. The role also involves ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and keeping detailed records of all maintenance and repair work.

Qualifications

• Mechanical skills related to vehicle maintenance and repair
• Diagnostic skills for identifying mechanical issues
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Record-keeping and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Relevant certification or diploma in vehicle mechanics or a related field is a plus
• Previous experience working with heavy goods vehicles is advantageous
