Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) – Autism and SEMH Specialist

  • Full-time or part-time (term-time only)
  • Mole Valley, Surrey
  • Salary in line with NHS Band
  • Band 6 or Band 7

Are you a passionate and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) looking for a rewarding role in a specialist SEN school? Whether you're newly qualified or bring years of experience, we’d love to hear from you!

We are working with a wonderful SEN school in Mole Valley, Surrey, that provides holistic and personalised education for pupils of all age groups who have Autism/ASC and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

Join a supportive and friendly team in a school with a well-established in-house therapy team and fantastic opportunities for CPD and training.

The Role – School-Based Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT)

  • Working with children and young people with Autism/ASC and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs
  • Permanent contract – full-time (term time only)
  • Salaries aligned with NHS Band Scales

What We’re Looking For:

  • HCPC registered and qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist
  • Experience working with children and young people with special educational needs (SEN), particularly Autism (ASC)
  • Passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs
  • A positive, patient, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team

Your Responsibilities:

  • Delivering individual and group speech and language therapy
  • Collaborating with teachers, support staff, and a multidisciplinary team
  • Attending staff and Annual Review meetings
  • Creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment
  • Following school policies and Health & Safety regulations, including Risk Assessments
