Morgan McKinley are working with a boutique investment manager based in the City who are hiring for an Event Manager on a 14 month Fixed-Term Contract basis.

Kindly note: This is an urgent role, and they are ideally looking for someone to start in April 2025

Key Responsibilities of Event Manager:

1. Lead end-to-end event planning, from conceptualisation to delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals and target audiences.
2. Develop and implement a KPI framework to track and evaluate event success, providing insights and analysis on ROI.
3. Stay updated on event best practices and emerging formats (e.g., digital, hybrid, interactive) to provide expert advice to the team.
4. Ensure event themes, topics, and venues align with the overall brand strategy.
5. Select and manage suppliers to ensure successful event execution within agreed terms.
6. Work within budgets and negotiate costs for the best value.
7. Attend events on-site, confidently managing logistics and coordinating support staff for larger events.
8. Oversee the entire digital platform for event planning and delegate experience.
9. Promote events on digital platforms (website, social media) and analyse impact to refine targeting and registration strategies.
10. Collaborate with marketing to leverage event content across PR and other communication channels.
11. Keep the wider business informed about event activities through internal channels like the intranet, newsletters, and meetings.
12. Lead marketing efforts for a specific business area, working closely with the Marketing Strategy & Planning team.

1. Previous events experience, preferably in financial services or related sectors (IFA, wealth management, etc.).
2. Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
3. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with a client-focused approach.
4. Ability to build and maintain relationships with team members, senior stakeholders, and suppliers.
5. Flexible with work hours and willing to travel when required.
6. Proficient in email marketing and automation tools.
