About Us:

PMG operates a brand new, state of the art, Recycling Plant, producing high-quality recycled aggregate and sand from an end-of-waste process using road sweepings and gully waste. Our new site opened for Waste Operations in Feb 2025!

As we continue to expand, we’re seeking a dedicated Waste Manager to take ownership of the plant’s day-to-day operations, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

The Role:

As the Waste Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Managing the plant’s operations, ensuring smooth and efficient performance
• Overseeing WAMITAB and EA permit compliance, adhering to current waste transportation, handling, and disposal legislation
• Driving health & safety and quality standards across the plant
• Managing planned maintenance, calibration, and production levels
• Liaising with customers, handling queries and complaints
• Monitoring waste processing quality, product sales, and disposal performance
• Producing monthly KPI reports
• Managing the plant budget, driving cost savings, and ensuring profitability
• Supporting the Transport Operation with Waste advice as needed

About You:

We are looking for a driven and experienced waste management professional with:

• Essential: WAMITAB Level 4 Medium Risk Operator Competence for Non-Hazardous Waste Treatment and Transfer
• A strong understanding of the waste management industry and current Environmental Agency legislation
• Technical and engineering experience, with excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with customers and colleagues effectively
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT skills
• A full UK driving licence
