Primary SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about the support of SEN children and looking to make a meaningful impact in their education? We have an amazing opportunity in a primary school supporting students with special educational needs in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire as a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant.

The opportunity:

1. To become a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant
2. To work and support students with special educational needs
3. £84 - £100 per day, please be aware that pay rates will depend on skills and experience
4. Term Time Only
5. Based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire
6. Starting ASAP until the end of the academic year - Monday-Friday 08:30am-3:30pm
7. Fulltime and Part time available

Key Responsibilities:

1. Working 1:1 or with small groups of students with a range of special educational needs
2. Attend to a pupil’s specific needs and follow all care plans in place
3. Providing support to students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully engage and participate in activities
4. Supporting students with various ranges of learning disabilities that may include supporting nonverbal students, students with limited speech, and challenging behavior
